this building is composed of three individual programmatic pieces that can be experienced independently, or function as one space depending on the occupant's needs. the three pieces are then unified by a louver envelope that wraps around. the program is pushed to the perimeter of the site to align with the faces of the neighboring buildings, with a piece emphasizing the corner, and the center becoming the shared space between the buildings and is used for the circulation and gathering spaces.

the three pieces can be experienced independently, but are brought together by the shared space and the exterior louver system.

the structure works as a 10'x10' grid, with a concrete core and shear walls applied to the far edges of the project. the louver envelope also follows this grid, spaced evenly every 10ft, and changing in density in order to address the direct sun from the southwest side, as well as the cuts on the ground floor emphasizing entrance into the building.

the louvers then break in the middle of the building, aligning to the height of the neighboring building alongside it, as well as providing a break for the verticality. this language of the louvers is then repeated on the interior space, which defines, acts as handrails, and provides unity between the floors.
