a monument to migration
in order to accomodate the growing population and create a symbol for brazil's future, the city brasilia was designed and constructed. this monument celebrates the journey migrants have taken to create the identity of brazil.
the monument is an impressionable field, a sequence for guests to experience the layers of history, identity, and memory of the country. the sequence follows a timeline of migration to brazil, but allows guests to circulate freely, providing room for pluristic readings of the past and both individual and collective memory.
